Terms of use
Last updated 2026-09-16. These terms are between you and InboxTrace.
What the service does
InboxTrace reads the travel emails in a mailbox you provide and produces a list of absences: dates of leaving and returning, day counts inside the periods a rule looks at, and the emails behind each date, each marked with how strong the evidence is. It is a tool for your own review. You check every date, correct or exclude what is wrong, and add what the mailbox does not show.
What the service does not do
Your responsibilities
- You use the service only on a mailbox you are entitled to use in this way, and you are responsible for the data of other people that it contains.
- You are responsible for what you submit to any authority. The report is a personal reconstruction from email, not an official record, and it can be wrong or incomplete: a trip with no email leaves no trace, and a date inferred from a car hire or a hotel is marked as inferred for a reason.
- Reconcile the report against the authoritative record before relying on it. For UK applications that is your travel history from the Home Office, obtained through a subject access request to UK Visas and Immigration.
- You do not resell the report or present it as issued by us.
What it costs
Running the service and seeing how many absences were found is free. Opening the full report costs a one-off £9.99 including any UK VAT, paid through Stripe. There is nothing else to pay, it is not a subscription, and nothing renews. We never see your card details.
Paying unlocks the review table with dates and evidence, the evidence behind every absence, and the printable report. It stays open for 30 days in the browser where you paid. You also get an email with a link that reopens it in any browser for as long as the payment record exists, so losing the device you paid on does not lose the report.
Refunds and cancelling
14 days, no reason needed, whether or not you have opened the report. Ask within 14 days of paying and we refund you in full.
A trader selling digital content can ask you to give up that right in exchange for immediate delivery. We do not currently ask, and our checkout does not collect it, so you keep the right. We would rather pay the occasional refund than claim an agreement we never took.
- After 14 days: we will still refund you if the service did not do what this page says, for example it found nothing in a mailbox that plainly contains travel, or it charged you the wrong amount.
Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the service is not as described or is not carried out with reasonable care.
Write to support@inboxtrace.app with the date of payment. We answer within 5 working days and refunds go back to the card you paid with. If you are not happy with our answer, say so in reply and we will look at it again before you take it further.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as it is. We may change or withdraw it, and we may change these terms; the date at the top says when. A change does not affect a payment already made.
Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Beyond that, our liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for it.
We are not liable for the outcome of any application, claim or decision you make using the report. That is the point of the section above: the report is a reconstruction from your own email, for you to check, and the authoritative record sits with the authority, not with us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
